The Dragon Star trilogy follows directly on from the Dragon Prince trilogy, with Prince Rohan's son, Pol as he struggles to move from the shadow of his father and be counted in his own right. This struggle itself is overshadowed by the intense and brutal invasion by the Vellant'im and the ensuing war.
